F&B Brand & PR Specialist
Graphic Design & Visual Communication
- Promotional Material: Designing posters, flyers, and digital graphics to promote monthly events or special packages.
- Brand Consistency: Ensuring all visual assets align with the hostel’s brand identity and the social media guidelines provided by the external agency.
Business Development: Lunch & Corporate Partnerships
- Local Market Mapping: Analyzing companies, offices, co-working spaces, and businesses located in the immediate vicinity of the hostel.
- Lead Generation & Sales: Directly reaching out to HR managers and corporate decision-makers nearby to present the hostel’s lunch offerings.
- B2B Agreements: Creating and negotiating corporate partnership agreements (e.g., dedicated discounts, fixed lunch menus) to build loyalty among local workers and ensure a steady flow of lunchtime customers.
Private Events Growth
- PR & Event Agency Scouting: Actively mapping and contacting communication agencies, local event planners, team-building companies, and PR managers to include the hostel's spaces in their partner venue catalogs.
- Corporate Scouting (B2B): Contacting mid-to-large-sized companies in the city (with a focus on the immediate area) to pitch the venue for corporate events, informal meetings, product launches, or seasonal parties.
- Networking & Industry Events: Attending trade fairs, networking events, and local meetups to establish the boutique hostel as the place to be for its unique combination of hospitality, lifestyle atmosphere, and F&B offerings.
Global Events Management
- Local Adaptation: Receiving global event guidelines from the Head Quarter (HQ) and adapting them to the local market, audience, and specific spaces of the hostel.
- Planning & Execution: Organizing logistics, setups, local promotion, and staff coordination to ensure HQ standards are met 100%.
Digital & Social Media Agency Coordination
- Briefing & Sourcing: Keeping the external agency updated on new designed menus, successful corporate agreements, and promoting spaces for private events. Providing "live" photos and videos from events to the agency.
- Approval: Supervising editorial plans to ensure they drive the right business goals (e.g., specific posts aimed at promoting private celebrations or corporate lunches).
PR & Partnerships
- Media Relations: Engaging with industry journalists, bloggers, and local/national food and lifestyle guides.
- Influencer Marketing: Scouting and managing collaborations with content creators who align with the hostel's target audience.
- Brand Partnerships: Building synergies with beverage and food brands for sponsorships and co-branded events.
Events & Community
- Concept Development: Collaborating with the F&B operations team to brainstorm and create special events (themed nights, guest bartending, DJ sets, and social gatherings).
- Local Engagement: Involving the local community, turning the hostel's F&B department into a landmark not just for staying guests, but for the entire city.
Experience & Background
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in operational marketing, event coordination, junior B2B sales, or public relations, preferably within the Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or communication/event agency sectors.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, Foreign Languages, or equivalent fields. A Master’s degree or specialized courses in Event Management or Hospitality Marketing are considered a plus.
Hard Skills
Basic Graphic Design: proficiency with rapid graphic design tools (e.g., Canva Pro) for the independent creation of menus, flyers, and promotional materials.
Sales & Account Management: Ability to manage business negotiations, structure financial proposals/quotes, and conduct site inspections with corporate or private clients.
Digital Literacy: Familiarity with social media dynamics (Instagram, TikTok) and core communication KPIs.
Language
English: Fluent/Excellent level (B2/C1).
Italian: Native or fluent.
Soft Skills
Interpersonal & Commercial Skills: Strong commercial mindset, empathy, and proactivity for networking, local market mapping, and actively reaching out to businesses.
Flexibility & Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to the dynamic and casual environment of a boutique hostel.
