Facade/Curtain Wall Designer

Core responsibilities

• Design development: Create and finalize facade designs, from initial concepts to detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings, using software like CAD and Revit.
• Technical compliance: Ensure all designs comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards, while also considering technical aspects like building physics, thermal performance, and structural integrity.
• Collaboration and coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, clients, and other project stakeholders to address design issues and technical concerns.
• Material and cost management: Select appropriate materials, finishes, and construction methods, while keeping functionality, quality, and cost-efficiency in mind.
• Documentation and approval: Prepare and submit all necessary design documents and shop drawings, and follow up to ensure they receive client approval.
• Project support: Monitor the project schedule and support the project team with any on-site issues that arise.
• Visual representation: Develop proposals and visualizations to present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements

- Diploma or degree holder

- Min 3-5 years facade design experience

- Fluent in English speaking and writing
