Facilities Maintenance Pool Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Pool Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all swimming pool facilities within On Top of the World Communities. This is a visible position within the community requiring the utmost awareness of how actions and communication are perceived.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains swimming pool facilities to include all pools and spas within On Top of the World Communities
  • Tests daily water chemistry and adjusts chemicals as needed
  • Documents all chemistry readings and maintain procedures
  • Maintain pools, tiles, decks, buildings, furniture, etc.
  • Pressure cleans surfaces and furniture
  • Supports event set-ups and after hours functions
  • Proficiently and safely handles hazardous materials as necessary
  • Works flexible shifts as needed
  • Performs plumbing and electrical repairs, as well as minor mechanical repairs
  • Provides janitorial services
  • Ensures proper use of Personal Protective Equipment and wears uniforms at all times
  • Performs full exterior cleaning of commercial buildings and facilities
  • Manages quality control checklists and log books
  • Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience maintaining commercial swimming pools preferred
  • CPO Certification preferred

Certifications and Licenses

  • Certifications: CPO Certification preferred, ability to obtain OSHA 10 Hour
  • A valid Florida Drivers License with acceptable driving history is required
