Factory Production Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to ensure production schedules are met.
- Monitor production output, efficiency, and quality to achieve operational targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize production costs.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate production supervisors and factory workers.
- Coordinate with the Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Sales departments to ensure smooth production operations.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and coordinate material planning to avoid production delays.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare production reports, manpower planning, KPI reports, and operational performance analysis for Management.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Participate in budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and manpower planning.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant production or manufacturing management experience, preferably in a factory environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good knowledge of production planning, quality management, inventory control, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and good manufacturing practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems will be an advantage.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
