Opportunity Overview

The Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a driven Field Application Engineer in Alajuela, Costa Rica, to develop and support practical Teradyne ATE

solutions for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, deploy, and release test solutions for Digital, High-Speed Digital, High-Power Computing, SoC, Mixed Signal, and Analog semiconductors
• devices.
• Develop test program software and review load board and probe card schematics and layouts.
• Analyze hardware, software, and test issues on Teradyne ATE platforms and recommend solutions that improve throughput, yield, quality, and test
• coverage.
• Support customer evaluations, installations, production ramps, and test-process improvements.
• Release test solutions with handler and prober equipment, including correlation and gauge R&R.;
• Define requirements for hardware, software, test-cell integration, schematics, PCBs, and interface hardware.
• Develop characterization techniques, demonstrate tester capabilities, and provide customer training and technical exchanges.
• Build technical customer relationships and communicate requirements and product improvement opportunities to internal teams.

Minimum job requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• English Proficiency
• 3+ years of semiconductor test industry experience with hands-on IC component test project development.
• Test or Product Engineering experience in Digital, High-Speed Digital, High-Power Computing, SoC, Mixed Signal, or Analog testing and test
• development on ATE platforms.
• Programming knowledge in .NET, C#, VB, C++, C, or Java,
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% or more.

Preferred job requirements

• Experience with Teradyne UltraFLEX, UltraFLEXplus, or IG-XL; Eagle Test Systems EV or EV-MST; Advantest V93K, SmarTest 7, or SmarTest 8; or
• other ATE platforms.
• Knowledge of handler and prober interfaces and semiconductor test ecosystems.
• Understanding of ATE industry trends and competitive products.
