JOB SUMMARY
Our client, a growing Financial Services/Microfinance Institution, is seeking a highly motivated and target-driven Field Sales Executive – Loan Sales to drive customer acquisition, loan origination, and portfolio growth within an assigned territory.
The successful candidate will identify and convert prospective customers across MDAs, government institutions, businesses, organisations, associations, markets, and other strategic locations.
The ideal candidate must have proven field-sales experience, preferably within a bank, microfinance bank, fintech, lending institution, or other financial institution. Previous experience selling loans, credit facilities, or financial products will be a strong advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect and acquire new customers for the company's loan and financial products.
- Conduct daily field visits to MDAs, government institutions, businesses, offices, markets, associations, and other target locations.
- Generate, qualify, and convert leads into completed loan applications and successful disbursements.
- Present and explain loan products, eligibility criteria, repayment terms, interest structures, documentation requirements, and application procedures.
- Guide prospective customers through the loan application and documentation process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify key decision-makers, business owners, associations, institutions, and customer networks within the assigned territory.
- Drive customer acquisition through direct prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, presentations, activations, and field marketing.
- Follow up consistently on leads, pending applications, and prospective customers to maximise conversion.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects to support consistent loan disbursement and portfolio growth.
- Collaborate with Credit, Operations, Telesales, Customer Service, and other internal teams to facilitate efficient customer onboarding and application processing.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell relevant financial products and services.
- Generate referrals through existing customers and professional networks.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities.
- Identify and develop new territories, institutions, customer segments, and channels for loan acquisition.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, prospect, and sales information on the CRM or designated reporting platform.
- Ensure all customer acquisition and loan origination activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Escalate documentation issues, customer complaints, suspected fraudulent activities, and other concerns appropriately.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports.
- Consistently achieve assigned individual and team sales targets.
- Participate in sales campaigns, market activations, presentations, outreach programmes, and other business development initiatives.
- Represent the company professionally and protect its reputation when engaging with customers and institutions.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant sales experience, preferably within banking, microfinance, fintech, lending, financial services, or a related financial institution.
- Previous experience selling loans, credit facilities, or other financial products is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in field sales, direct sales, business development, or customer acquisition.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales and acquisition targets.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline from lead generation through conversion and disbursement.
- Good knowledge of the Warri market and surrounding business environment.
- Experience using CRM systems, mobile sales applications, or digital sales tools is an added advantage.
- Must be comfortable with extensive fieldwork and regular travel within the assigned territory.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Net Monthly Salary: ₦110,000 – ₦130,000
