Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

This role is contributing to the {Electrification} in {UAE}.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- ZS1· ZS4 and ZS8 AIS Panels, X0, ZX1.2 and ZX2 GIS Panels and Operating Conditions, Maintenance on VD4X Circuit breaker testing and commissioning .
- ABB MNS panels , Modules , ACBs (Emax series ) , M102 relay, UMC relay and Insum relay Operating Conditions, Maintenance on LV switchgear and Circuit breaker testing and commissioning .
- Communication establishment and signal testing with MNS Digital switchgear.
- Receive the project documentation and all the technical information necessary to start the commissioning activity.
- Fill in the Site report and agree the actions with the Service Manager prior to site commissioning or modification
- Accomplish the requested preliminary activities like permissions, Gate pass , power on/shutdown permits , application programs download and documentation check using the proper software tools and instrumentation, according to Company testing procedures
- Verify the correctness of all the hardware connections between the system (MV System, Operator Interfaces and other network devices) under test making sure that the installed cables and wiring are made according to the related documents and are working properly
- Properly install and verify the correct functionality of all the installed devices in accordance with FAT results using diagnostic and application tools and following the project documentation as reference
- Feedback to Engineering department for improvements in schemes, corrections of drawings or any other modifications if required by customer at site after supply.
- Solve hardware and functional incongruence and mistakes is any found during Site testing phase, modifying the wrong hardware or software items involved and testing again the new hw or software configuration
- Update the system documentation with proper mark-ups and software configuration periodic updates, maintaining due trace of all the changes, following Company testing procedure indications
- Obtain the S.A.T (Factory Acceptance Test) certificate from the Customer at the completion of the job, eventually with the list of the pending items not yet completed, in cooperation with the Project Leader and the Project Manager
- Attend, together with the Customer, third party devices official testing when included in the scope of supply directly at sub suppliers premises
- At the end of the testing phase cooperate with Project leader and Project Manager for the delivery on site of the system, giving proper instruction to the Company shipping department.
- Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment/Systems/Process failures and requests proactive corrective actions and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
- . Acts as a technical consultant in own specific area of expertise.
- Proactively plans and executes work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensures the job is done on time and on quality.
- Identifies improvement needs and potential solutions for them in the way of working and the products in question and drives improvement actions in own area of responsibility.
Qualifications for the role
- Professional Qualification in Electrical Engineering mainly MV experience.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of LV (MCC/PCC) , MNS data concentrator, Thermal monitoring systems , M102 , UMC relay and other LV Switchgear and Products.
- 5-7+years of experience in the specific field of application
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of LV (MCC/PCC) & MV (AIS/GIS/RMU) Switchgear and Products
- Knowledge of the most common testing tools (hardware and computerized)
- Knowledge of Safe working procedures at site
- Attitude to interpersonal relationship
- Good relation skill, Team working, Problem solving
- Ease communicating in English (verbal and written)
