Field Service Engineer
Summary
On-site engineer installing, maintaining, and repairing semiconductor equipment at customer sites, traveling locally and overseas, with strong Mandarin skills required.
What you'll be doing
- Provide Hands-on technical support for Semiconductor’s group machine installation, setup, buy-off, upgrade, troubleshooting, repairing and preventive maintenance at customers sites both locally and overseas.
- Prepare reports which inclusive of service reports and provide feedback on technical issues with regards to machine performance
- To update the Management and other concerned personnel on the activities and progress of the job.
- Respond to customer requests to troubleshoot problems and take corrective actions within deadline by communicating and work closely with HQ and Sales Personnel
- Conduct training on proper operation of the machine at customer’s site.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with customers.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks to support ongoing projects and business needs as assigned by the manager.
What we're looking for
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar service engineer or field service role, preferably in the semiconductor industry
- Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintaining complex electromechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Customer-focused mindset and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within the Central Region to support customer sites as needed
- Proficiency in English & Mandarin, both written and verbal. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
