Field Service Support
NewBe an early applicantThe Field Service Support will:
• Play a critical role in leading delivery of the service needs of our customers within the West Region's install base
• Perform the onsite installation, training, preventative maintenance, upgrade and repair of our complex laser cutting, welding and marking systems and subsystems
• Ability to travel up to 80% to perform service within North American (primarily Western region) and internationally occasionally for training. Valid passport is required
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system and subsystem issues through statistical analysis and evaluation of laser system reliability
• Test, tune, and adjust equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
• Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
• Support sales activities by collecting and forwarding relevant information
• Report on customer spare part requirements
• Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects
• Provide technical support via telephone/email and serve as a communication link with the internal factory staff
Education and Work Experience:
• Candidate must possess the following:
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience or vocational training or U.S. Military electronics training /experience
• 3 - 5 years relevant field service experience
• Experience with laser or optics is highly desirable
• Problem solving skills to be able to troubleshoot electronic, electro-optical, electrical, software & mechanical problems
• Correctly interpret electrical schematics
• Computer literate education and work experience
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work closely with a team as well as independently
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Command of written and spoken English
