Field Service Technician

DataField is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for a variety of parking systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and experience working independently in the field.The Field Service Technician will serve as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring equipment is operating properly while delivering professional and responsive service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment and system issues using effective troubleshooting techniques.
• Repair and/or replace defective equipment and components to restore proper system operation.
• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of systems and equipment.
• Provide customers with honest, professional recommendations and solutions.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch personnel, customer service representatives, and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle.
• Present a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
• Assist the Installation Department as needed.
• Support the Sales Team with technical expertise and customer consultations.
• Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and special projects.
