Field Service Technician
Prinsco is looking for a Field Service Technician who values safety, teamwork, and solving problems in real time. This role supports plant operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment while helping ensure reliable and safe production across locations.
The right person enjoys hands on technical work, learning new systems, and supporting others. You will work closely with plant teams to troubleshoot issues, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement through dependable field support.

Position Summary
The Field Service Technician role provides support for the installation, repair and maintenance of the
plant facilities' equipment, including emergency/unscheduled repairs or adjustments, while maintaining
safe work practices. This role reports to the Field Service Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the installation, repair and maintenance of production machines and plant equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
• Complete emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment as assigned.
• Detect potential equipment failures, perform diagnostics, and corrective or preventative action.
• Provide oversight (verbally and/or onsite) for maintenance functions, preventative maintenance, or
troubleshooting equipment that is not functioning properly or has broken down.
• Provide production and/or equipment training at assigned plants.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and
service.
• Support and assist in safety improvement projects at assigned plants.
• Provide input with technological and equipment advancement opportunities
• Identify and recommend changes to equipment or processes to improve safety and/or efficiency.
• Support equipment and process upgrades for new production methods or products.
• Compete electric work as per job requirements and training under NFPA 70E electrical and arch
flash requirements.
• Focus on cross-training, continuous learning, and improvement.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Secondary degree preferred, with a minimum of one year of manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in extrusion strongly preferred but not required; experience in hydraulic, pneumatic,
mechanical, and industrial systems required.
• Strong electrical knowledge for this job is required under NFPA 70E electrical standard. We will train
the right candidate.
• Experienced in cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, wire, plasma) strongly preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve a forklift certification.
• Strong influencing skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the
organization.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data/facts/drawings to support valid
conclusions and to solve practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Proficient with MS Office products and drafting software (Solidworks and/or AutoCAD). Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job: lift up to 50 lbs. 1/3 of the day and 75 lbs. less
than 1/3 of the workday; using hands and reaching with hands/arms for over 2/3 of the workday.
• Standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling for over 2/3 of
the workday.
• Distance v ision (clear v ision at 20 feet or more), per ipheral vision, d epth perceptio n, and the ability
to differentiate colors.
• Ability to work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in
varying outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a loud noise environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record. With the ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Flexible travel up to 50%.
