Field Services Engineer – IT Support & Infrastructure
Summary
Field services engineer delivering hands-on onsite IT support to MSP clients across Southeast Queensland from a Brisbane Southside base — troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, installing servers and networking gear, and doing infrastructure project work with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows and networking tech.
Love solving IT challenges, working with different technologies and getting out from behind a desk? This could be the role for you!
At Davichi, we're looking for a motivated and experienced Field Services Engineer to join our growing team.
This isn't your typical desk-based IT support role. You'll be the face of Davichi out in the field, working directly with our partners across Southeast Queensland to troubleshoot issues, deploy solutions and keep their IT environments running smoothly.
From desktop support and network troubleshooting to infrastructure deployments and onsite project work, no two days will be the same.
If you're someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering exceptional service and wants to continue developing your technical skills, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role
As our Field Services Engineer, you'll be based at our Brisbane Southside office, travelling to partner sites throughout Southeast Queensland in a company van to deliver hands-on technical support and onsite services.
You'll work across a diverse portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies, infrastructure environments and business operations.
Working closely with our Helpdesk and Projects teams, you'll play an important role in delivering quality technical solutions while ensuring our partners receive the professional and reliable service Davichi is known for.
What You'll Be Doing
Delivering onsite IT support, troubleshooting and technical assistance across multiple partner environments.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
Installing, configuring, maintaining and replacing desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment and other IT infrastructure.
Assisting with network installations and configurations, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points and VPNs.
Supporting Microsoft 365 environments, including user management, device configuration, Microsoft Entra ID and related services.
Assisting with infrastructure upgrades, hardware rollouts, system deployments and other onsite project activities.
Working alongside our Helpdesk and Projects teams to investigate and resolve more complex technical issues.
Conducting onsite assessments, documenting infrastructure and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Building positive relationships with our partners and acting as a trusted onsite representative of Davichi.
Maintaining accurate ticket notes, technical documentation, time entries and asset records within our service management systems.
Managing your daily onsite schedule, coordinating with our Dispatch team and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
Maintaining company vehicle equipment and stock to support onsite service delivery.
Participating in an after-hours on-call roster as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically capable, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people.
You'll be confident working independently at partner sites, but equally comfortable collaborating with the wider Davichi team to achieve the best outcome.
Ideally, you'll bring:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT support, field services or infrastructure support role, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktops, laptops, servers and business IT environments.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Microsoft Entra ID.

Hands-on experience installing and configuring IT hardware and networking equipment.
Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and virtualisation technologies.
Experience working with IT service management and ticketing systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of tasks through to resolution.
A genuine interest in technology and a commitment to continually developing your technical knowledge.
Highly Regarded, But Not Essential
Previous experience working within an MSP supporting multiple client environments.
Experience with ConnectWise Manage, RMM platforms or similar service management tools.
Exposure to VMware, Hyper-V, Veeam or cloud backup solutions.
Experience with Fortinet, Sophos, HP/Aruba or other enterprise networking technologies.

Relevant Microsoft, networking or industry certifications.
Experience assisting with IT infrastructure deployments and project delivery.
Essential Requirements
Full Australian working rights.
