Finance Manager, Digital, Record to Report
TelevisaUnivision is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Record to Report (Digital) to support the Digital Finance organization. This role is responsible for overseeing key accounting activities related to the monthly close process, general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting for the Digital business. The position partners closely with Digital Finance leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial results while driving process improvements, maintaining strong internal controls, and leading a team of accounting professionals. The position reports to the Vice President, Record to Report.

YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)
Financial Close and Reporting
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review and approve journal entries, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and close calendar deadlines.
- Review account reconciliations and ensure they are prepared, reviewed, and certified in accordance with company policies and internal control requirements.
- Prepare and review quarterly flux analysis packages, providing meaningful explanations of financial results and variances.
- Partner with the Digital CFO and Finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
Accounting and General Ledger Management
- Manage day-to-day general ledger activities for the Digital business.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements.
- Oversee accounting for specialized contractual arrangements and obligations.
- Review accounting treatment related to digital content licensing, produced content, programming rights, obligations, and related cash flow schedules.
- Interpret and analyze contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment and financial impact.
- Lead Oracle ERP Record-to-Report processes, including financial consolidations, allocations, data interfaces, journal posting, period open/close activities, foreign currency exchange rate maintenance, revaluation and translation processes, cash management, subledger-to-ledger reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and governance of cross-validation rules to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
Team Leadership and Process Improvement
- Lead, develop, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor team performance and service levels, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Escalate significant issues, disputes, and risks to management in a timely manner.
- Maintain and enhance accounting procedures, process documentation, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and implement process and system improvements.
Audit and Compliance
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely delivery of required documentation and analysis.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.
- Ensure supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Projects and Initiatives
- Support system implementations, integrations, and other finance transformation initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as requested by Finance leadership.
- Drive automation and standardization efforts to improve the efficiency of Record-to-Report processes.
YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ yrs. accounting experience
- Strong PC Skills with moderate knowledge of Excel
- Certified Public Accountant is a plus
- Ability to speak/write/understand Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, as there will be work weeks that require more than 40 hours to ensure the Company’s reporting requirements are met.
