Financial Analyst I
Pay $20.00 - $24.00 an hour
Financial Analyst position will have an active role in the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, analysis, ad-hoc reporting, assists in preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and analyzes budget variances for all revenues and expenses, forecasting and projects of Upstate Caring Partners and its affiliate company’s financial data.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze changes in rates and project future impacts.
- Assist with preparation of annual budget.
- Analyze monthly program budgets and research material variances.
- Provide monthly internal reporting and analysis to all levels of management.
- Analyze data independently and submit findings to the Director of Finance.
- Communicate and interact with various levels of staff and management and effectively explain finance and accounting concepts.
- Identify potential variances in budgets and effectively communicate and discuss those variances with program management.
- Maintain positive relationships with consumers, families, community organizations, referral sources, and governing bodies.
- Adhere to mandatory reporting requirements and HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employees and assimilates new employees to the Agency’s culture, values and mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Prior experience in budgeting and financial analysis preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
