Century Fire Protection is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems. This is a hands-on field role for someone who takes pride in solving problems, delivering quality work, and providing great customer service.
🛠️ What You’ll Do
- Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems
- Diagnose system issues and complete timely, accurate repairs
- Program and configure fire alarm control panels and devices
- Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and compliance forms
- Identify deficiencies and communicate repair needs with customers
- Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, and inspectors
- Maintain company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicles
- Follow NFPA standards, local codes, and company safety procedures
- Participate in the on-call rotation and emergency service response
⭐ What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of fire alarm or life safety experience preferred
- Technical training or certifications preferred
- NICET Fire Alarm certification preferred or required based on state requirements
- Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes
- Experience with fire alarm panels, devices, and testing equipment
- Notifier or similar manufacturer experience preferred
- Basic Microsoft Office, mobile software, and computer skills
