Fire Services Area Manager
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations for fire alarm, fire suppression, and fire sprinkler inspection, service, and installation teams.
- Manage scheduling, manpower allocation, and operational efficiency across the assigned territory.
- Ensure projects and service work are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Monitor department KPIs including service response times, inspection completion rates, and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate technicians, inspectors, and support staff.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and customer service.
- Conduct regular team meetings, field audits, and performance evaluations.
- Support ongoing employee development, certifications, and safety training.
Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, plant managers, facility managers, safety personnel, AHJs, and existing customers.
- Identify opportunities for growth in inspections, service agreements, system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations.
- Assist sales teams with estimates, proposals, and customer presentations.
- Expand market presence throughout East Texas and North Louisiana.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, local/state fire codes, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain licensing and certification compliance for technicians and operations.
- Conduct jobsite safety audits and enforce safe work practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the fire protection industry.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Fire alarm systems
- Fire sprinkler systems
- Clean agent and special hazard suppression systems
- Inspection, testing, and maintenance procedures
- NFPA codes and standards
- Experience managing service technicians and multi-site operations.
- Experience in industrial environments preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Must meet company motor vehicle record (MVR) requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET certification(s)
- State fire alarm or sprinkler licenses in Texas and/or Louisiana
- Project management experience
- Sales or business development background
- Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments

Work Environment
