Fleet and Trailer Sales Manager

Position Purpose:

Coordinates the regional sales and services team and communicates with fleets, original equipment, manufacturers and trailer and truck dealers to inform them about the advantages of specifying our products.

Essential Functions:

  1. Business Development with Trailer OEMs:
  • Identify opportunities to propose new businesses and renew long-term agreements through OEM contacts (purchases, engineering, product planning, quality control, manufacturing, marketing, etc.).
  • Coordinates with the Director of the Business Unit, in negotiations and signing contracts for all new businesses and maintenance of current ones.
  • Maintains knowledge and communicates the company's product offerings (design specifications, performance specifications, product applications, manufacturing processes, etc.) and the market (competitive products, competitive advantages, prices, market trends, prices, etc.).
  • Recommends product development and marketing strategies, which increase business opportunities with trailer manufacturers. Supervision of prototype installations or new products in the manufacturers' plants.
  • Communicates future product and quality requirements to the Director of the Business Unit, the Marketing Manager of the Division and the Plant Manager.
  • Provide sales forecast information by OEM, production line, product mix, plant shutdowns, etc

  1. Fleet contact:
  • Identify, manage and maintain an optimal relationship with the client. Develop personal relationships with customers and potential users.
  • Identify appropriate fleet applications to test our products. Coordinates and helps engineering in the organization for the installation of components.
  • Review current product offers. Present new product offers. Recommend suspension models for specific operations or applications. Advice on available programs. It helps correct field problems.
  • Coordinates the product presentations of the dealership staff through the regional sales and service.
  • Deliver reports to the DUN at least every month about customer activities and the market in general.

  1. Field Service:
  • Develop strategies and plans with regional service to improve the service provided to fleets.
  • Assists in developing appropriate skills by training people within the organization.
  • Work with the Divisions ensuring proper communication and coordination of service efforts between the fleet, the division and the direct customer.
  • Assists service regionals in fleet activities, coordinates with Hendrickson efforts to correct customer complaints related to product performance.
  • Provides periodic reports on the performance of the components in prototype suspensions, new or with problems

Education:

  • College Degree in Engineering.
  • MBA desirable.

Qualifications:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience: strategies plan, marketing, launch of new products.
  • Advance English, minimum 90%.
