Fleet Safety & Compliance Senior Analyst

We are looking for a talented Fleet Safety & Compliance Senior Analyst to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN, 100% remote.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead execution of the Fleet Management program, coordinating internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Act as the primary point of contact between internal customers and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Investigate fleet-related issues and lead resolution efforts to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer service, reduce costs, and improve process efficiency.
- Analyze fleet performance data to evaluate program effectiveness and support improvement projects.
- Maintain fleet performance metrics, dashboards, and required periodic reporting.
- Lead budget planning, tracking, research, and analysis, ensuring program execution within budget.
- Provide constructive feedback, support policy improvements, and lead or contribute to fleet projects, training, and program deployments.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Fuel Economy Optimization - Analyze data and information to make decisions and influence individual or collective behaviors to optimize fuel consumption in the daily operation of company vehicles.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repair - Analyze maintenance, downtime, and repair cost data to balance reliability with cost control. Proactively flag patterns (repeat repairs, early failures) to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle life.
- Vehicle Specification - Match vehicle specs to real-world duty cycles, environments, and safety needs using usage and performance data. Partner with operations and suppliers to ensure vehicles are fit-for-purpose without over‑specifying or overspending.
- Vehicle Systems Knowledge - Apply technical understanding of engines, drivetrains, emissions, and safety systems to interpret issues accurately. Bridge communication between drivers, repair facilities, and leadership to support smart maintenance and safety decisions.
Education/Experience:
- College, university or equivalent degree or significant relevant experience required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Education or experience with Fleet Management, Vehicle Technician, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, or other industry-related experience related to the operation of commercial vehicles.
- Thorough understanding of regulations related to the operation of commercial vehicles across Canada.
- Knowledge of Hours of Service, Cargo Securement, Vehicle Maintenance, DVIR, Driver Qualification, and Driver Training requirements.
- Ability to influence business stakeholders to abide by policies, regulations, and best practices through strong communication skills.
- Work in collaboration with other business support teams to conduct incident investigations, file reports.
- Lead compliance-related reporting to government agencies, external regulatory audits, roadside inspections, Provincial certificate renewals, etc.
- Understanding and experience with vehicle telematics systems and various fleet management databases.
- Skilled in attention to detail, organizing data from several different sources, executing on tasks related to KPI's, and ability to work alone and with a team to achieve performance goals.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft, Database Management, and various AI tools.
