Food Service Associate

Job Summary:

Food Service Associate is a seasonal position that conducts a wide variety of tasks within the department including, but not limited to cash handling, food prep and customer service. Food Service Associates work with an adaptable schedule based on the Ward Cove cruise ship schedule. This role requires adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding safety standards and company policies and leading a team to drive the success of their department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Follow proper procedures, food safety, customer service, cleanliness, and workplace expectations.

• Assist and provide excellent customer service to all passengers.

• Operate multiple stations such as, but not limited to cash registers, food service, and coffee and beer stations.

• Communicate operational concerns, staffing issues, equipment problems, and other significant matters to the Department Managers.

• Ensure kitchens, service areas, equipment, storage areas, and employee workstations remain clean and organized.

• Stock and organize product on shelves, following FIFO (First In First Out) to ensure full product availability.

• Complete inspections of perishable outdates and pull expired stock.

• Maintain cleanliness of designated areas.

• Maintain compliance with applicable food safety regulations and company policies.

• Promote a safe working environment and follow workplace safety procedures.

• Complete additional tasks assigned by Department Managers.
