Forward Deployed Engineer

You'll be our first dedicated Forward Deployed Engineer, the person who owns the path from "dealership signs up" to "their AI agent is live and handling calls in production. "

Responsibilities:

• Own customer onboarding end-to-end on the ShortLoop platform.
• Translate customer requirements into agent behavior, prompts, and call flows.
• Configure, build, and ship agents, and deliver them to customers at production quality.
• Handle customizations; every dealership operates differently; you'll decide what's a config change, a prompt change, or a platform ask.
• Drive continuous improvement across agents and the platform pipeline (call classification, tagging flows, and routing logic).
• You'll work directly with the founders, and your work will be in front of paying customers from week one.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience, including time as a forward-deployed engineer or in an equivalent customer-facing engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with LLM prompts in production systems, writing, testing, and iterating.
• Early-stage startup experience, comfort with ambiguity, ownership, and shipping fast.

• Experience working directly with customers, gathering requirements, and collaborating with engineering to deliver.
• Experience in high-growth environments where you shipped to production frequently.
