Stack includes TypeScript/React, Supabase/Prisma, and Python with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
About the Role
This is a founding-level AI/ML engineering role at an early-stage AI recruiting marketplace, where you will own the intelligence layer that powers candidate-role matching. You will build the recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, and LLM-powered features that sit at the core of the product, making a direct impact on how talent and opportunities connect.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and own AI/ML systems including recommendation engines and ranking algorithms.
Develop and ship LLM-powered matching features that improve alignment between candidates and roles.
Architect and maintain production-grade data pipelines and backend services integrated with the full stack.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product goals into production-ready features.
Deliver end-to-end features at a rapid cadence, shipping to production daily.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience as a software engineer building and shipping end-to-end product features in production environments.
Proficiency with LLM APIs and a track record of building LLM-powered features in production.
Experience building recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, or ML-powered matching systems.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React in production applications.
Hands-on experience with Supabase, Prisma, and database design in production systems.
Python and production ML framework experience, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experience shipping ML models or ML-powered products to production (not research-only).
Familiarity with search and ranking infrastructure (e.g., Typesense or similar).
Experience with workflow automation tools such as trigger.dev or equivalents.
Strong CS fundamentals and comfort operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup environments.
Prior founding, early-employee, or fast-growing AI startup experience is a plus.
