FP&A Lead

COMPANY

A leading international company operating in the pharmaceutical industry is establishing new operations in Portugal and is looking for an FP&A CoE Lead to build and lead its Financial Planning & Analysis Centre of Excellence, supporting global finance operations and driving financial performance across the Group.

CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading the FP&A Centre of Excellence, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis activities;
• Ensuring the execution of the Group Planning calendar across different regions, establishing governance frameworks and ways of working with Group FP&A and the various business divisions;
• Developing executive dashboards, KPI reporting and performance analysis frameworks to support management decision-making;
• Partnering with Business Units, Finance Directors and Corporate FP&A teams, providing financial and commercial insights;
• Supporting financial modelling, scenario planning and long-range planning activities at Group and divisional level;
• Driving the standardisation, automation and continuous improvement of FP&A processes, leveraging planning technologies such as Oracle EPM;
• Ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy and compliance with Group finance policies and procedures;
• Recruiting, leading, coaching and developing a team of FP&A Analysts, Senior Analysts and Team Leads;
• Supporting finance transformation initiatives, including management reporting improvements and EPM system implementations and adoption;
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance, operational efficiency and business decision-making;
• Acting as the key point of contact for Group FP&A, ensuring effective collaboration with international stakeholders.

PROFILE

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management or a related field;
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent;
• 8 to 12 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Transformation;
• Proven leadership experience, preferably within a Global Business Services (GBS) or Centre of Excellence environment;
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI or similar financial planning and analytics tools.
