We're currently supporting a large healthcare business that is looking to add an experienced Data Scientist to its team on an initial 6-month contract.
The role sits directly within a high-performing AI team and will focus on developing early-stage proofs of concept and prototypes across a range of cutting-edge AI initiatives.
You'll be working on projects involving:
- Generative AI & LLMs
- Agentic AI Workflows
- Document Intelligence & Knowledge Extraction
- RAG Applications
- Advanced Machine Learning
- Scientific & Research-Focused AI Use Cases
The team is seeing significant demand from stakeholders across the business and needs someone who can quickly turn ideas into working solutions.

What you’ll bring
- PhD or strong academic background in a scientific discipline (Biology, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, etc.)
- Strong Python-based Data Science / Machine Learning experience
- Commercial experience with LLMs, GenAI, RAG, or Agentic AI
- Experience building POCs and prototypes
- Cloud experience (ideally AWS)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Bonus
- Databricks knowledge
- Any experience within Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.
