Front & Back End Programmer

We are seeking a talented and driven Associate Programmer I to join our Continuous Improvement team at Fossil Group in Bangalore, India. If you are passionate about application development and enjoy solving business challenges through automation and technology, this could be the perfect role for you. In this dynamic and global company, you will design and develop scalable web-based and automation solutions that improve business processes and drive operational efficiency.
This is a hybrid position based in our Bangalore office. You will be required to work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. This role reports directly to the Manager – Continuous Improvement.
What you will do in this role
Application Development

Develop web-based applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, or React.

Build and maintain backend application components using Python, Core PHP, and Google Apps Script.

Participate in technical design and development activities to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.

Enhance and optimize existing applications based on evolving business requirements.

Automation & System Integration

Develop automation solutions that streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Build and maintain integrations across systems and platforms to enable seamless data flow.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Database & Solution Optimization

Design and write efficient SQL queries using MSSQL and MySQL.

Optimize database structures and application performance to support scalable solutions.

Identify opportunities to improve code quality, performance, and maintainability.

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

Debug and resolve complex technical and application-related issues.

Support application deployment, testing, and troubleshooting activities.

Contribute ideas and technical expertise to continuous improvement initiatives.

Drive solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.

Who You Are

Bring 2–4 years of experience in application development, software development, automation, or a related field.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, or React.

Possess hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Core PHP, Python, and Google Apps Script.

Have solid experience with MSSQL and MySQL, including query development and performance optimization.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of system design and application architecture.

Bring strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Have the ability to build scalable and maintainable solutions independently.

Demonstrate a proactive mindset, curiosity for technology, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while taking ownership of technical deliverables.
