Front Office Supervisor - NoMad Singapore

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily Front Office operations and supporting the Front Office Manager in ensuring smooth, efficient, and service-driven guest experiences. This role serves as a key operational leader on shift, ensuring that guest interactions, team coordination, and service delivery consistently meet luxury hospitality standards.

The Front Office Supervisor plays an important role in managing guest satisfaction, handling escalations, supporting team performance, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Front Office Supervisor are summarised below; however, the list is not exhaustive.


FRONT OFFICE OPERATIONS SUPPORT

• Assist the Front Office Manager in the daily operations of the Front Office.
• Ensure smooth execution of check-in, check-out, and guest service procedures.
• Maintain operational readiness of the Front Office at all times.
• Support efficient coordination of front desk activities and workflows.


GUEST SERVICE & SATISFACTION

• Provide prompt, professional service and actively seek opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Ensure a welcoming and positive first impression for all arriving guests.
• Handle guest requests efficiently and ensure timely follow-up.
• Maintain a high level of service consistency across all guest touchpoints.


COMPLAINT HANDLING & ISSUE RESOLUTION

• Manage, resolve, or escalate guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure guest concerns are documented and followed through until resolution.
• Empower team members to handle minor issues while providing guidance for complex cases.
• Maintain a calm and solution-oriented approach in all guest interactions.


TEAM COORDINATION & COMMUNICATION

• Ensure the Front Office team is updated on guest feedback, operational changes, and departmental information.
• Communicate special events, VIP arrivals, and key guest requirements to the team.
• Attend and contribute to Front Office meetings and briefings.
• Foster strong teamwork and ensure alignment across shifts and departments.


VIP & EVENT AWARENESS

• Inform and brief the team on VIP guests, long-stay guests, and special arrivals.
• Support preparation for hotel events and high-occupancy periods.
• Ensure awareness of daily hotel activities and event schedules.
• Assist in coordinating guest arrangements for special occasions and events.


SALES SUPPORT & UPSELLING

• Identify opportunities to promote hotel services, events, and facilities.
• Support upselling initiatives to enhance guest experience and revenue performance.
• Ensure team members are knowledgeable about hotel offerings and promotions.


OPERATIONAL KNOWLEDGE & COMPLIANCE

• Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local area information.
• Ensure compliance with fire, health, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Follow correct operational procedures in line with brand and hotel standards.
• Promote environmentally responsible practices within Front Office operations.


PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS & LEADERSHIP

• Lead by example in grooming, professionalism, and guest engagement.
• Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal relationships across departments.
• Support a positive, service-driven, and collaborative team culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in Front Office or guest service roles within hospitality, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service in a luxury hotel environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent grooming and professional presentation standards.
• Proficiency in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) is an advantage.
• High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
