Frontend Android Developer (Native Kotlin)

Position Overview

Software Development Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and testing software systems, modules or applications for cloud-based or internet-enabled tools.

This role participates in detailed design, prototyping, and deployment of multi‑vendor infrastructure solutions, develops micro‑services and APIs, and implements ML/AI algorithms on structured and unstructured data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions and functionality that drive business growth.
• Develop and maintain high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Write and test code and execute automated testing.
• Contribute to software deployment and integration of solutions through automation.
• Develop large‑scale distributed systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Refactor code and review code written by other developers.
• Perform additional related tasks as required.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional experience in Android Native (Kotlin) development.
• In‑depth understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Modular Architecture.
• Proven experience handling data communication using Retrofit and OkHttp; managing asynchronous tasks with Kotlin Coroutines.
• Hands‑on experience with DI frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
• Experience in programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, and related libraries and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with micro‑services architecture and API product development.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores including Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cassandra.
• Knowledge of container runtimes (Kubernetes, Docker, LXC/LXD).
• Proficiency with Agile, lean practices, and test‑driven development.
• Can‑do attitude and initiative.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Adaptability to fast‑paced environments.
• CI/CD, cloud‑based infrastructure expertise.
• Attention to detail.

Academic qualifications and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Required experience

• 3–4 years of professional experience in Android Native (Kotlin) development.
• In‑depth understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Modular Architecture.
• Experience handling data communication using Retrofit and OkHttp, and asynchronous tasks with Kotlin Coroutines.
• Hands‑on experience with DI frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
• Experience in programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js and related libraries and frameworks.
• Experience with tools across the full software delivery lifecycle including IDE, source control, CI, testing, mocking, work tracking, defect management.
• Experience in Agile and Lean methodologies, Continuous Delivery/DevOps, analytics/data‑driven processes.
• Proficiency in working with large data sets and applying ML/AI algorithms.
• Experience developing micro‑services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience in software development.
