Summary
Frontend developer in Toronto (hybrid, 4 days in office) building responsive React/TypeScript SPAs, deploying them behind Nginx proxies and load balancers, and wiring secure OAuth2/JWT/SSO APIs. Also writes Jest/Cypress tests and works with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and SonarQube.
FRONTEND DEVELOPER – REACT, TYPESCRIPT, NGINX, DEVOPS & SECURE APIS
TORONTO, ON - HYBRID (4 DAYS WFO)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- UI Development: Design and build responsive, reusable components using React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Architecture: Maintain Single Page Applications (SPAs) with modern React patterns, Hooks, and Context API.
- Server & Deployment: Configure and troubleshoot applications behind Nginx reverse proxies, load balancers, and caching layers.
- Security & APIs: Integrate RESTful microservices and implement secure authentication via OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
- Quality Assurance: Write unit/integration tests (Jest, Cypress) and collaborate in Agile environments.
REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 5+ years in frontend development with strong TypeScript/React expertise.
- DevOps/Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and SonarQube.
- Preferred: Next.js knowledge, cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure), and experience in financial services or banking.
