Frontend Development (Senior)
Summary
Senior developer who designs, builds, and maintains automatic fare collection (AFC) software for bus and rail e-payment devices — from requirements gathering and issue investigation through production deployment and support. Core stack is embedded C/C++/Java on Windows/QNX/Linux plus Java Spring web apps with JDBC/SQL, with desirable cloud and DevOps exposure.
Working with leading edge Contactless Smart Card technology, your key challenge is to spearhead the evolution of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) equipment. Your job includes requirements gathering, design and development of multiple public transport e-payment devices. Typical devices include bus fare collection devices and rail fare collection gates. You need to investigate reported issues and improve both individual AFC device software and overall AFC system. Additionally, you need to support AFC software roll out and deployment in the production environment. You should be good in the analysis of problem and skillful in resolving issues pertaining to system or software.

Continuously improve the AFC device software system through predictive analytics
Job RequirementsRecognized Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering/Computer Science or a relevant discipline
At least 5 years' experience in embedded software development and support with good working knowledge in object-oriented software development using C/C++/Java in Windows, QNX, Unix or Linux platform
Experience in software development involving web application development in Java, using Spring framework and interfacing with database using JDBC and SQL
Object-oriented software design and UML modeling
Good knowledge in Windows Server and proficient scripting skill in PowerShell is highly desirable
Experience in Incident Management and ITIL process
Conduct trend analysis and provide appropriate support and input to product teams
Aggressively monitor and respond to incidents generated by stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Resourceful and self-motivated team player
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Data Analytics and Data Visualization skills will be an added advantage
Cloud Certifications & Experience: Certifications from major cloud providers (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) and/or demonstrated expertise in AWS Cloud services, including EC2, is highly desirable
DevOps Integration: Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native pipelines
Cloud Governance: Understanding of cloud policies and governance, cost management tools, and usage monitoring
Added advantage if candidate is familiar with one or more of the following technologies:
