Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Fuel & Lube Assistant to support field operations by fueling, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance tasks on construction equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment remains operational and productive on heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate is willing to work in a fast-paced environment, travel as needed, and support occasional night operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with fueling, greasing, and basic fluid services on heavy construction equipment
  • Support equipment inspections and report any visible leaks or service concerns
  • Help maintain inventory of oils, filters, and lubricants on the service truck
  • Keep equipment and service areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
  • Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Complete and submit basic service documentation as required
  • Travel to job sites as directed and assist with daily fueling schedules
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
  • Willingness to travel and work early mornings or extended hours
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and MVR check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working around heavy equipment or in a construction environment
  • Mechanical aptitude or prior shop/fleet support experience
  • Interest in growing into a technician or CDL fuel truck operator role
