Full Stack Developer, AI Platform & Back-End Developer - Digital & Artificial Intelligence

Overview

As part of our Digital & Artificial Intelligence Department, you’ll work in an environment that encourages creativity and rewards excellence. You will play a key role in the development of robust, scalable, secure, and maintainable back-end systems for AI-enabled applications. Your expertise in full-stack engineering, cloud services, APIs, data integration, and AI application patterns will help transform prototypes into enterprise-ready solutions. While the role is primarily focused on back-end and platform development, the ability to contribute across the full application stack is a strong asset.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Design, build, and maintain back-end services, APIs, orchestration layers, and integration components that power AI-enabled applications.
• Develop full-stack application capabilities using Python, TypeScript, .NET, or equivalent enterprise development technologies as appropriate.
• Implement AI application patterns such as retrieval augmented generation, semantic search, agentic workflows, prompt orchestration, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Integrate applications with approved cloud services, identity platforms, enterprise systems, databases, document repositories, and AI services.
• Work with architects to model and implement data structures, application schemas, APIs, and transformation logic to support reliable and scalable application behavior.
• Build secure, maintainable, and well-documented services that follow software development lifecycle practices and enterprise architecture expectations.
• Develop and optimize SQL or NoSQL data access patterns, stored procedures, queries, and integration logic where required.
• Partner with front-end developers, architects, cybersecurity, data owners, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and production readiness for AI-enabled applications.
• Stay updated on advancements in AI engineering, cloud-native development, database technologies, software architecture, and secure delivery practices.
• Mentor developers and contribute reusable engineering patterns for the AI & Automation Center of Excellence.

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 5+ years of professional experience in back-end or full-stack software development, including production-grade enterprise applications.
• You possess strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, C#, .NET, or equivalent enterprise development languages.
• You have demonstrated experience designing APIs, integration layers, application services, and relational or NoSQL data models.
• You have hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably Azure, including application hosting, identity, storage, monitoring, and AI services.
• You have experience with AI-enabled application development, including Azure OpenAI, vector search, document processing, RAG, agents, or equivalent technologies.
• You possess a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, including knowledge-graph and ontology representations and R2RML Mapping and RDF.
• You possess a strong understanding of secure software development, authentication, authorization, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and production support practices.
• You have experience with Git, Azure DevOps or equivalent tools for source control, code review, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Blazor is considered an asset.
• You are autonomous, innovative, dynamic, and able to structure complex technical problems into clear implementation plans.
• You possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business stakeholders, architects, cybersecurity, data teams, and developers.
• You possess a demonstrated passion for staying ahead of industry trends and bringing fresh ideas to complex engineering and AI application challenges.
• You have the ability to communicate in both French and English in a business context.
