Full Stack Developer
Summary
Full Stack Engineer at Bookboost, a hospitality engagement platform for hotels, building real-time data processing, event-driven APIs, and customer-facing frontends. Core stack: Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, Cloudflare Workers, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Terraform, on a small team with real influence over architecture.
We have customers across more than 20 countries and a platform that wins on depth. We're now looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help us build the next stage of it.
Tech stack: Angular | TypeScript | Node.js | Cloudflare Workers | AWS | PostgreSQL | Terraform As a Full Stack Engineer you build and maintain the systems behind our platform: real-time data processing, the APIs that hold it together, and the experience our customers use every day.
The job is shifting from writing syntax to designing systems. We want engineers who are architects: people who define the right abstractions, shape the right interfaces, and make decisions that hold up six months later. Agents write a growing share of the code. Your value is in orchestrating intent, context and execution.
You would be joining a small engineering team with real latitude on technical direction. This is not a seat implementing someone else's design. If you want to be handed tickets and left alone, this is not that job. If you want a say in how the platform is built, it is a good one.
What you'll own and deliver
- Scalable, high-performance applications across the stack
- Frontend applications in Angular, with genuine attention to responsiveness and user experience
- APIs designed with the rest of the team, focused on event-driven architecture and real-time data
- Edge computing work using Cloudflare Workers, improving performance and deployment efficiency
- Migration of services to edge runtimes, improving scalability and reducing latency
- Architectural decisions that outlive the tickets that prompted them
- Cross-functional work with design, product and Operations on what customers actually need
- Full stack depth: 4+ years with modern frontend and backend technologies, and production systems you have owned rather than contributed to
- Backend: strong in Node.js or another JavaScript runtime, and TypeScript. PHP and Laravel are a plus, not a requirement.
- Data: relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimisation
- Frontend: modern frameworks, particularly Angular
- Edge: familiarity with Cloudflare Workers and services such as Durable Objects, KV and Workflows, or other edge runtimes
- Cloud: understanding of cloud architecture, particularly AWS
- AI fluency: our engineering team runs on an AI-native stack. You write code and documentation with AI tools and can talk concretely about how that has changed the way you work. This is a genuine requirement, not a bonus line.
- Systems thinking: root cause over band-aids, patterns over one-offs. You would rather fix the shape of a problem than patch it again.
- Craft: you care about reliability, observability, testability and documentation
- Language: fluent English. Swedish is not required.
- Remote and flexible working, from home or one of our hubs
- Real influence over technical direction at a company still deciding
- An engineering team building new ways of working with AI rather than bolting it on
- An environment that values your judgement, with real room for impact
- Regular team events and socials
