Full stack developer (intermediate - senior)

Our Cloud Soluions business currently has an opportunity for a Skilled Full Stack Developer to join the team.

Permament - hybrid role (Midrand and Centurion). 3 days minimum in office per week

Role Overview: Will work in a delivery squad of up to 6 developers, commercial insurance platform. . NET 8 backend, Angular 18 front-end, SQL Server, Rabbit MQ, Azure Dev Ops Hands-on. Codes daily, leads the squad, reviews the team's work The successful candidate will be placed into the squad that best fits their strengths

Key Outputs: Develop and maintain full-stack applications using C#,. NET 8, Angular and SQL Server. Design, develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services. Apply layered architecture, CQRS/mediator patterns and Entity Framework Core. Write, optimise and maintain SQL Server queries and database solutions. Develop unit tests and ensure code quality through peer reviews. Work with Git, Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD practices. Integrate message-based services using technologies such as Rabbit MQ. Troubleshoot, resolve and improve application performance and reliability. Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutions. Lead and support a small development squad, including code reviews, mentoring, estimation and sprint planning. Contribute to integration with legacy systems and third-party services, particularly within the commercial insurance environment.

Skills Must Have: 5+ years hands-on C# development. . NET 8 /. NET Core with ASP. NET Core — building APIs and backend services. Layered architecture — understands separating domain, application and infrastructure code. CQRS or a mediator pattern — command and query handlers. Entity Framework Core — migrations, queries, performance basics. SQL Server — writes and tunes their own queries, understands indexing. REST API design and consumption. Unit testing — x Unit, NUnit. Git — branching, pull requests, merge conflict resolution. Reads and reviews other people's code confidently.

Skills Preffered: Message-based integration — Mass Transit, Rabbit MQ, Kafka or Azure Service Bus. Redis or any distributed caching. Angular (any recent version) or another modern SPA framework. Type Script. Insurance domain exposure — products, covers, premiums, underwriting. BPMN & Rating engines or rules engines (Drools, j BPM or similar). Reference/master data management across multiple services. Third-party API integration — credit bureau, address/geo, or similar data providers. Docker, Kubernetes or Helm. Azure Dev Ops pipelines. Structured logging and monitoring — Serilog, Elasticsearch, Open Telemetry. Legacy system integration experience (mainframe, AS/400 or similar). Keycloak, OIDC or OAuth2.
