Full Stack Developer (Java/Javascript)

A full stack developer joins a product-focused engineering team (via recruiter Ambition) at a technology and communications company in Singapore, designing scalable applications and microservices. Core stack: Java 17+/Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, MongoDB/Elasticsearch/Cassandra/SQL, cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
Our client is a leading technology and communications organisation focused on developing innovative digital, connectivity and next-generation technology solutions. We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to join a product-focused engineering team. You will be involved in designing and developing scalable applications and services, working across both backend and frontend technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and enhance scalable software applications and backend services
- Design and build APIs and modular microservices
- Work on system design, performance and reliability improvements
- Integrate applications with internal and external systems
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices
- Work with cloud and containerized environments
- Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams on new solutions
- Strong experience in Java (Java 17 or higher) and Spring Boot
- Experience with microservices and REST APIs
- Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies
- Experience with Mongo DB/ Elasticsearch/ Cassandra and SQL databases
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
- Understanding of scalable, distributed application architecture
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
