Summary
A full stack engineer in London joining an existing team to write production-quality code, troubleshoot distributed systems, and drive deliverables through to deployment. Core stack spans the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js) plus C#/.NET Core, SQL Server, Apache Kafka, Docker and AWS.
Looking for a detailed orientated engineer to join an existing engineering team, understand the architecture quickly, contribute production-quality code, troubleshoot distributed systems, and independently drive assigned deliverables through to deployment.
You should have the following experience:
- MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js, C#/.NET Core 10+ and SQL Server 19+.
- Programming: JavaScript and TypeScript Architecture: Microservices and distributed applications Event-Driven
- Architecture: Apache Kafka Kafka: Producers, consumers, topics, partitions and consumer groups Cloud: AWS application deployment and support DevOps: CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation Containers: Docker
- APIs: RESTful API design and development using C# with Open API standard Source Control: GitHub and Azure DevOps Production Engineering: Troubleshooting, monitoring, logging and performance optimization
Highly Desirable
- Amazon MSK or managed Kafka experience
- AWS EKS/ECS
- Terraform/AWS CloudFormation
- AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS and EventBridge
- Redis and distributed caching
- CloudWatch, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk
- OAuth 2.0/JWT and API security
- AWS certification
- Experience supporting high-volume, production-grade distributed systems
