Full Stack Developer

Our client is looking for a Full Stack Developer with a strong software development background and experience working across both front-end and back-end technologies. This is a fully office-based position in Irene, Gauteng, suited to a developer who enjoys building robust, scalable applications and working across the full software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, React and Ruby on Rails, and be comfortable developing user-facing functionality, backend services, APIs and database-driven applications.

Responsibilities

• Experience developing, maintaining and enhancing web-based applications.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with backend services and APIs.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative development environment.
• Must be comfortable working fully in-office in Irene, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in Software Development / Full Stack Development.

Required Skills

Practical knowledge and experience in:

• RESTful APIs and web services
• SQL and relational databases
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Front-end and back-end development
• Database design and integration
• Strong understanding of software development principles, application architecture and clean coding practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
