Full-Stack Developer

Salary: RM 8,000 – RM 12,000 per month

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable, high-performance applications within a dynamic, microservices-based environment.

In this role, you will work primarily on backend development using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS, while also contributing to frontend tasks using React when required. You will collaborate with teammates to investigate production issues, improve system performance, review code, and deliver reliable solutions that support business and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services.

• Handle client requests, system enhancements, and technical investigations.

• Analyze data and troubleshoot production issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Optimize database queries, and application performance to ensure system reliability and scalability.

• Deliver development tasks according to project priorities and timelines.

• Review teammates' code and contribute to code quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices.

• Contribute to frontend development when needed.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems once the 24/7 SLA is introduced.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of commercial software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

• At least 3 years of practical experience using NestJS in a production environment. Experience with Express alone is not sufficient.

• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL, including complex SQL queries, indexing, query optimization, and database transactions.

• Basic working knowledge of React or Next.js, with a willingness to handle occasional frontend tasks.

• Experience working with high-load applications, database performance optimization, distributed transactions, inter-service communication, or similar scalability challenges.

• Good command of English.

• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
