Full Stack Developer (Python/Django, React) – Banking

Salary: $7,000 – $9,000 per month

About the role

We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to build and deliver Python-based applications. These applications support process automation across the bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Python-based full stack application instances; analyse impact on current/new systems, research problems, and design and implement optimal solutions.

• Follow all Change Management and Engineering Review processes; ensure changes are completed according to the project and/or release schedule.

• Ensure systems built as per the requirements, principles and models that support the overall solution architecture roadmap.

• Communicate effectively with external and internal teams on technical delivery and system maintenance.

• Enforce technical quality in all aspects of delivery, using Waterfall/Agile best practices (Scrum, CI/CD, DevOps Practices, Test-Driven Development).

• Ensure Python-based full stack application instances implemented and delivered.

• Changes completed per Change Management/Engineering Review processes and release schedules.

• Systems delivered in conformance with solution architecture roadmap.

Required Skills & Experience

• Frontend development: React, CSS (SCSS).

• Backend development: Python/Django/REST API Frameworks.

• OS skills: Linux/Unix with Shell Scripting.

• Database skills: MS-SQL / Oracle (design, query using SQL, optimize queries).

• At least 6-9 years of hands-on technical experience in development and implementation.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with strong grounding in web technologies.

• Experience supporting implementation of large-scale, highly available applications or large project implementations.

• Strong experience with Python/Django-based backend and high-end frontend frameworks.

• Experience with Waterfall/Agile best practices (Scrum, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development).

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Solid experience in solutioning and system design.

• Experience designing and implementing integration with MQ, microservices and high-volume batch processing.

• Strong experience in unit testing concepts and implementation for Python & JavaScript components.

• Solid experience in object-oriented design techniques, UML and object modelling.

• Experience with a variety of source control and development tools.

• Excellent analytical skills (critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making) with a track record of delivering large software components.

• Good to have: exposure to KYC/AML systems, regulatory compliance platforms, or risk management/workflow automation.

• Good to have: experience with CI/CD toolchains, release/deployment orchestration and environment management.
