Essential Skills
- Strong experience in Java application development.
- Experience building microservices using Quarkus and/or Spring Framework (Spring Boot).
- Strong understanding of REST API design and implementation.
- Experience with JMS and Kafka messaging platforms.
- Experience using Maven for dependency management and build automation.
- Hands-on experience creating and managing Docker images and running Docker containers.
- Experience deploying and managing workloads in Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions for source control and CI/CD automation.
- Experience developing and deploying solutions in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, including unit and integration testing.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with feature team members to conduct system analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment within an Agile/DevOps delivery model.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain backend cross-platform applications using Java-based frameworks.
- Contribute to frontend development using Angular to deliver high-quality full-stack solutions.
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs that meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain microservices using Quarkus and/or Spring frameworks.
- Integrate and support event-driven architectures using JMS and Kafka messaging technologies.
- Build, package, and manage applications using Maven.
- Create, maintain, and support Docker images and containerised applications.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications running on Kubernetes platforms.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure solution quality and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide Tier-3 support for production systems, investigating and resolving escalated incidents to maximise application availability.
- Plan and execute application, platform, and tool upgrades with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Design, implement, and support cloud-native solutions in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues while driving continuous improvements in system stability, performance, and scalability.
