This is a 12 months fixed-term contract.

What will you do

About the project: DXD is a joint Govtech and MOE team that sits at the intersection of technology, design, and education. It's a place where people solve diverse, complex challenges for the education sector and the organization, alongside thoughtful, intelligent individuals who lead with curiosity, empathy, and optimism.

Responsibilities: As a Full-Stack Engineer on DXD's Data Programme, you will architect and develop infrastructure to support modern data science and machine learning applications. You will also partner actively with policy and business divisions to support MOE-wide digital transformation efforts through the use of Data and AI methods. You will be expected to:

• Take full ownership of end-to-end system development, integrating frontend, backend, DevOps and cloud infrastructure as required to achieve organizational objectives
• Develop infrastructure and applications in accordance with modern cloud technology, ensuring reusability, scalability and security
• Develop data systems and supporting infrastructure, including database administration, ETL pipelining, and analytics tools for use cases across the MOE ecosystem
• Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Data Scientists and Users with a strong sense of ownership to ensure that products developed meet user needs

Requirements

What are we looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience with full-stack development, encompassing frontend, backend, DevOps and infrastructure development with care for reusability, scalability and security considerations
• Experience with data systems and architecture development
• Experience with data science and machine learning applications is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion towards working for public good with interest in the education domain in particular
• Tech stack required:
• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS
• Data Warehouse: Redshift
• Pipelining: Airflow, with scripts written primarily in Python
• Analytics Tools: SageMaker Unified Studio, Tableau
• There may be plans to develop front-end applications in future. The stack for these applications have not been determined yet.
