Full Stack Engineer

Open 23d

You will take features from idea to production: understanding what node operators need, designing the user flow, integrating with Lightning services, building the frontend, shaping the API layer, writing tests, and sweating the details until the feature is ready to ship. You'll work on Terminal Web, a TypeScript application built with Next.js, React, MobX, and Emotion, using server-side rendering, browser persistence, LNC-based RPCs to self-hosted litd nodes, and REST APIs to Lightning Labs services. You'll move across the full stack without waiting for a narrow handoff, and you'll use AI-native development tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor as part of your daily workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Ship end-to-end features in Terminal Web that help users operate Lightning nodes, manage liquidity, and monitor activity
  • Build across the full stack including Next.js SSR, React components, MobX stores and view models, Emotion styling, IndexedDB-backed data services, LNC integrations, and REST APIs
  • Own integrations with Lightning infrastructure such as LND, litd, Lightning Node Connect, Loop, Pool, and Taproot Assets
  • Write production-quality tests with Jest and Playwright
  • Work autonomously with minimal direction and execute from rough problem statements through launch
  • Use AI development tools for exploration, implementation, testing, refactoring, and documentation

Requirements

  • You build and ship production-quality software with a portfolio or work history demonstrating this
  • You have strong TypeScript and React experience
  • You are comfortable with modern full-stack web application architecture
  • You have experience with server-side rendering, API clients, browser storage, and state management
  • You use AI-native development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar as part of your normal workflow
  • You can take ambiguous product requirements and turn them into working software independently
  • You have strong engineering practices: automated testing, code review, documentation, and debugging
  • You care about product quality including edge cases, loading states, and failure modes
  • You are excited about Bitcoin, Lightning, and the mission of making Bitcoin cheap, fast, and simple
