About The Role

You will play a key role in delivering features across our mobile, web, and cloud platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a balanced focus on building polished Flutter user experiences and designing scalable backend services and APIs using modern AI-assisted development practices.

You will collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical stakeholders to transform ideas and designs into production-ready software.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, moves quickly, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design and build scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and AWS

• Build and maintain cross-platform applications using Flutter

• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions

• Implement new features from Figma designs across the full stack

• Deliver responsive, polished, and accessible user interfaces

• Investigate and resolve full-stack performance and UI/UX issues

• Keep dependencies and tooling current (Node, Flutter, Prisma, AWS SDKs)

• Refactor and pay down technical debt as part of normal feature work

Product Quality & QA

• Verify features against business requirements before release

• Perform manual testing and regression testing

• Identify edge cases and usability issues

• Ensure features match approved designs and expected workflows

• Write and maintain automated tests (Flutter widget tests, Jest API tests)

Design Collaboration

• Work closely with designers to ensure accurate implementation

• Participate in feature discussions during planning stages

• Provide development estimates and feedback on proposed feature designs

• Help improve consistency across the product experience

• Contribute to new product and feature ideas

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years commercial software development experience

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently

• Excellent attention to detail

• Commercial cross platform mobile app experience (Flutter strongly preferred)

• Commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• AWS cloud services

• Proven ability to build and deploy scalable backend APIs

• Experience working directly with designers

• Agentic coding tools and workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)

• ReactJS production experience

Nice to Have

• Healthcare or regulated industry experience

• Startup experience

• Infrastructure as code (AWS SAM or CloudFormation) and GitHub Actions

• Event-driven architectures (SQS, webhooks, background jobs)

• Integrating third-party APIs (CRM, practice management, CMS, payments)

• Payments: Stripe or App Store / Google Play in-app purchases

• Prisma or similar ORM, and comfort writing raw SQL

• Observability tooling (Sentry, CloudWatch)
