Your Responsibilities

As a Full-Stack Java Developer, you will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of business-critical applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing and implementing full-stack applications using Java.

• Developing and maintaining robust back-end services and APIs.

• Working on front-end components using technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design through development, testing and deployment.

• Collaborating with business analysts, architects, testers and other technical specialists to define and refine project requirements.

• Participating in code reviews and following established coding standards and best practices.

• Debugging, troubleshooting and resolving application issues to ensure reliable and high-quality solutions.

• Contributing to technical architecture and solution design.

• Identifying opportunities to improve application performance, maintainability and scalability.

• Preparing and maintaining technical and application documentation.

• Actively participating in an Agile development team, including planning sessions, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java.

• Solid understanding of full-stack development and the ability to work across both back-end and front-end layers.

• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Experience with modern Java back-end frameworks.

• Good understanding of REST APIs and application integration.

• Practical experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Understanding of software development best practices, clean code and version control.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or similar development environments.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Experience working in the financial services sector or on business-critical applications.

• Experience with automated testing and test-driven development.

Languages

• German – very advanced / fluent level is required.

• English – intermediate level is required.

Both languages will be used in the professional environment, so candidates should feel comfortable communicating in German at a very high level and in English at an intermediate level.
