Who we are supporting
The NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC), located in Stavanger, Norway, is NATO’s premier centre for joint operational and strategic-level collective training and warfare development. As part of the NATO Command Structure and reporting to Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), the JWC directly supports both SACT and Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) by strengthening the operational readiness, interoperability, and effectiveness of NATO Command and Force Structure Headquarters. Through its multinational workforce, the Centre plays a critical role in preparing the Alliance for current and emerging security challenges.
The department we are supporting is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of operational and strategic-level exercises and training activities, while integrating warfare development, experimentation, concept development, and lessons learned into NATO's training programmes.
