We are seeking an experienced Java developer with strong expertise in Java Microservices, Java EE applications, Spring Boot, cloud‑native architecture, containerisation, Kubernetes, and workflow orchestration platforms such as ORKES or Netflix Conductor. The role involves designing secure backend services, supporting production environments, delivering high‑quality releases, and contributing to scalable digital banking and enterprise application platforms.

• Design, develop, maintain, and support Java backend services, APIs, middleware components, and Java EE applications.
• Build scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, Spring Cloud, and cloud‑native architecture principles.
• Analyse business requirements and define practical technical implementation approaches aligned with architecture standards.
• Develop middleware services using Test‑Driven Development practices and maintain strong code quality across releases.
• Create comprehensive JUnit test cases and support code coverage targets of 80% or higher.
• Work with Java8, Java21, object‑oriented programming, design patterns, multithreading, Lambda expressions, Stream API, Kotlin, and Groovy where required.
• Use Spring Boot features including annotations, Spring JPA, Spring AOP, Spring Security, Maven, Gradle, and testing frameworks.
• Support microservices design patterns such as service discovery, service mesh, cloud configuration management, distributed communication, and API integration.
• Develop and troubleshoot database‑driven applications using MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Build, test, and debug APIs using Postman, SoapUI, API gateways, and related tools.
• Work with Docker, Dockerfiles, containers, Kubernetes, AWS, and Microsoft Azure for modern application delivery.
• Implement application security controls to protect system integrity, user data, and sensitive business information.
• Handle security testing, penetration testing support, and remediation of common application vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable releases within project timelines.
• Provide platform hosting support, production support, issue investigation, root‑cause analysis, and timely resolution of incidents.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release automation, deployment readiness, and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle, Git, or TFS.
• Maintain technical documentation, development notes, API references, Confluence updates, and Jira task progress.

• 5–10 years of overall experience in Java application development.
• Strong hands‑on experience designing and developing Java Microservices, Java EE applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Experience in platform hosting, production support, and high‑availability environments.
• Banking domain experience is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Java, OOP, design patterns, multithreading, Java8, Java21, Lambda Expressions, Stream API, Kotlin, and Groovy.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring AOP, Spring Security, Maven, Gradle, and JUnit testing.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture, Spring Cloud, service discovery, service mesh, cloud configuration, and distributed system design.
• Working knowledge of relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA, Spring Tool Suite, Eclipse, SoapUI, Postman, Git, Jira, and Confluence.
• Hands‑on exposure to Docker, Dockerfiles, containers, Kubernetes, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with ORKES or Netflix Conductor for workflow orchestration is highly valuable.
• Knowledge of API management platforms such as Kong API Gateway, CA API Gateway, Azure API Management, or AWS API Gateway is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile delivery practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and Test‑Driven Development.
• Good understanding of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Git, TFS, Maven, and Gradle.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
