A company based in Midrand / Menlyn is looking for a Full stack Java Developer (Angular) to join their team on a long-term renewable contract working hybrid.
Job Description
Duties:
- At least 5 years knowledge and experience in Java development including version control (Git)
- Knowledge of Kafka or other streaming platforms or messaging systems (e.g., MQTT)
- Kubernetes/Microservice Architecture
- Proficiency in UI frameworks (e.g., Angular version 9 or higher)
- Development of backend and frontend user stories
- Actively participate in all regular Scrum ceremonies
- Contribute to the refinement of user stories
- Liaise with stakeholders and team members
- Pro-active knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching
- Clarify open points and develop prototypes for further discussion
- Provide support for existing solutions (DevOps)
- Agile experience (advantageous)
- ITIL process knowledge and work experience (advantageous)
- Experience with backend frameworks like Java EE/J2EE
- Experience with testing tools (e.g., Karma, Jasmine, Postman, Newman, Cypress, Selenium, Junit, Xunit, Robot, Jest)
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience in agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Terraform, Ansible)
- Relevant IT Degree / Diploma / equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer
- 2+ years’ experience with Angular
