Full-Stack Software Engineer (Python / React) – IoT & EV Platform

We are seeking a versatile Full-Stack Engineer to build and scale platform features end-to-end across backend services, charger/device management, web dashboards, and native mobile clients—with a particular emphasis on load optimization and reliable operation under high load. This is a hands-on build role for someone comfortable moving across the stack and working in a connected-device (IoT) environment.

What Matters Most

The ideal candidate pairs strong engineering fundamentals with real fluency in AI-accelerated development. Concretely, that means someone who understands software design deeply (patterns and anti-patterns, data modeling, and database design) and who also knows how to use modern AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to move quickly without sacrificing quality. Demonstrated ability counts far more than years of experience or traditional background.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain backend services for a high-load EV charging network, including device/session management, telemetry, and diagnostics.

- Develop and optimize the charger communication and management layer for reliability and throughput.

- Build web applications and dashboards for property owners, operators, and internal teams.

- Contribute to native mobile app features for residential and commercial drivers.

- Implement charging load optimization and smart power allocation across sites and chargers.

- Work with relational and time-series databases at scale; ensure observability, performance, and resilience.

- Collaborate closely with firmware, product, and operations teams to ship features that hold up in the field.

Required Skills & Experience

- English proficiency: Intermediate (B1) or higher.

- Strong software design fundamentals—patterns, data modeling, and solid database design.

- Fluency using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate delivery.

- Strong proficiency in Python, plus at least one systems language (Rust and/or Go).

- Production experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.

- Frontend development with React and TypeScript.

- Web application development experience, including thin-client architectures.

- Experience building or integrating native web and mobile applications.

- Experience with load optimization, scheduling, or resource-allocation problems.

- Comfort operating in a distributed, high-load, device-connected (IoT) environment.

Nice-to-Have

- Linear programming/mathematical optimization (e.g., applied to power allocation).

- EV charging domain experience (exposure to OCPP is a plus).

- Time-series databases and IoT telemetry.

- Cloud infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD.
