Full-Stack Software Engineer / Solution Designer – HR IT

Discussion

Summary

A hybrid full-stack engineer and solution designer role at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions in Hungary: you build, integrate, and operate small-to-medium HR technology solutions and SaaS integrations, then take end-to-end technical ownership of parts of the portfolio. Core stack is TypeScript, React, and Node.js, plus APIs, databases, cloud, and CI/CD.

We are looking for a versatile technology professional who enjoys working across the boundaries of software engineering, solution design, architecture, and technical product ownership.

Our team develops and operates a portfolio of small to medium-sized HR technology solutions and implements SaaS products within our HR landscape. Our work ranges from building custom applications and automations to integrating SaaS platforms, designing interfaces, and executing data migrations.

In this role, you will initially contribute across different solutions and initiatives. Over time, we expect you to take end-to-end technical ownership of parts of our solution portfolio — driving their development, implementation, evolution, and reliable operation.

This is not a narrowly defined developer position. We are looking for someone who can understand a business problem, design the solution, and help make it real.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack applications, services, APIs, and automations for HR use cases.
  • Translate business requirements into pragmatic technical designs and implementation concepts.
  • Design integrations, data flows, interfaces, and authorization concepts across our HRIT landscape.
  • Integrate SaaS solutions with internal systems, including data interfaces, transformations, migrations, and reconciliation.
  • Contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, testing, observability, security, and operational readiness.
  • Work closely with HR stakeholders, engineers, vendors, security, privacy, and other internal teams.
  • Gradually take technical ownership of selected applications and solutions, including their architecture, technical roadmap, quality, and further development.
  • Drive implementation topics proactively and coordinate technical work across internal and external contributors.

We don't expect you to be a specialist in every technology we use. More important is the ability to move confidently between software engineering and higher-level solution thinking.

You should bring:

  • Strong experience in software engineering, ideally with full-stack web applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Experience with modern full-stack frameworks and patterns; TanStack experience is a plus.
  • Good understanding of APIs, databases, cloud concepts, and system integrations.
  • Ability to work with data transformations, interfaces, and migration scenarios.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and pragmatic solution design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, cloud infrastructure, and security concepts.
  • Ability to turn complex requirements into simple and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A strong sense of ownership and willingness to drive topics independently.

Experience with HR technology, enterprise SaaS, HR data, or HRIS platforms is helpful but not required.

* Please be informed that our remote working possibility is only available within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.
