About The Role

As a freelance Web HMI Developer, you will develop and maintain data-driven interfaces using Angular, connect applications to SQL databases, and support PHP services hosted on Apache. You will also help establish dependable database synchronisation between computers and maintain appropriate security measures, including SSL/TLS certificates. This role suits a technically versatile developer who can investigate issues across different layers and operating environments, communicate clearly, and deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

You will bring strong, hands-on experience with Angular and the ability to contribute within an existing development environment. You should have substantial SQL knowledge, including relational database design, queries, indexing, administration, performance optimisation, data integrity, and secure access controls.

Applicants should have practical experience developing and supporting PHP applications on Apache HTTP Server. This includes configuring and troubleshooting virtual hosts, permissions, runtime settings, dependencies, and deployment environments. You will also have experience connecting frontend applications, backend services, and databases, and handling JSON data through validation, transformation, and presentation.

We are looking for a good working knowledge of both Windows and Linux, including system configuration, file permissions, networking, command-line tools, and application troubleshooting. Experience with computer-to-computer database synchronisation, data consistency, conflict handling, and recovery from interrupted communications is important. You should also understand secure data transmission, authentication, certificate management, and practical IT security principles. Experience building charts, graphs, historical trends, or other visualisations for operational data is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain responsive Angular interfaces that clearly communicate operational and numerical information. Integrate HMI features with PHP applications, backend services, and SQL databases, ensuring data is retrieved and presented accurately. Design, develop, and optimise SQL queries and database structures, and investigate performance, connectivity, and data integrity issues.

Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Apache web servers and PHP application environments. Support reliable database synchronisation between separate computers, addressing conflicts, duplicate records, communication failures, and recovery requirements. Apply appropriate access controls and security configurations, maintain digital certificates, and help protect data in transit and at rest.

Deploy and maintain applications across Windows and Linux environments. Diagnose issues involving application behaviour, server configuration, database access, networking, and operating systems. Create clear data visualisations, validate and handle JSON securely, document technical work, and collaborate with stakeholders to support dependable system operation.
