Fullstack Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and production-ready web applications. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently delivering features across the frontend and backend, integrating third-party services, and contributing to cloud deployment and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js.
• Build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and integrations to support business requirements and application functionality.
• Develop responsive web interfaces and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) that deliver a consistent user experience across devices.
• Design and manage database solutions using relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Implement secure authentication, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), audit logging, and data protection measures in compliance with applicable data privacy requirements, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
• Integrate third-party services, including identity verification, digital identity, and authentication platforms, as well as email and SMS notification services such as AWS SES, SNS, or Twilio.
• Develop scheduling, calendar, and availability management features, along with attendance tracking functionality such as QR code-based check-in and check-out.
• Build dashboards and reporting features, including the generation and export of reports in formats such as PDF and Excel.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, including services like EC2, Lambda, and RDS, or equivalent cloud technologies.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, containerization, infrastructure automation, and application monitoring to ensure reliable and efficient delivery.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, performance optimization, security, and maintainable coding standards.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent solutions, where appropriate to improve development productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions and deliver features independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant software development experience, with a proven ability to independently deliver application features.
• Recent, hands-on experience developing applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of full-stack web development, modern software architecture, and component-based development practices.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js.
• Demonstrated experience delivering and maintaining production-grade applications.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Understanding of application security, RBAC, audit logging, and data privacy compliance.
• Experience integrating external services, particularly identity verification, authentication, email, or SMS notification platforms.
• Experience developing scheduling, calendar, attendance tracking, dashboard, and reporting functionalities.
• Hands-on experience with cloud deployment and infrastructure management using AWS or equivalent platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK, and monitoring and observability practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative development environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar solutions.
• Previous experience developing citizen-facing digital services, e-government platforms, or public-sector applications.
• Experience building secure applications that handle personal or sensitive data.
• Familiarity with automated testing, application performance optimization, and cloud-native architectures.
