Functional Analyst (French/Dutch Speaking)
Location: Brussels (Hybrid)
Languages: Fluent French or Dutch + English
Eligibility: A valid EU work permit is mandatory
About the Role
We are looking for a Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, developers, testers, and product teams to analyze requirements, define functional specifications, and ensure successful solution delivery. The ideal candidate has a technical background in Java Development or QA/Testing and is comfortable working in Agile environments.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, QA Analyst, or similar role.
- Previous experience as a Java Developer or QA/Tester.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Requirements
Mandatory
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in Functional Analysis and requirements gathering.
- Good knowledge of UML modeling.
- Experience preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.
- Experience using Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database querying.
- Ability to write clear functional specifications and user stories.
- Experience working closely with development and testing teams.
- Fluent French and English.
Strongly Preferred
- Previous experience as a Java Developer.
- Previous experience as a QA Engineer / Tester.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience analyzing interfaces, integrations, and data flows.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BPMN or process modeling.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Knowledge of web services and microservices architectures.
- Experience in large enterprise environments.
